Anthem of Lambs

Bah, bah, bah, bah
We lambs are gentle creatures
Never harm anyone
Peace and harmony
Green pasture and spring weather
That’s all we love
This is our nature.

Because of serenity of our core
Lamb is appetizing and delicious
This fact is known by all who
Have savored us before.

We‘re so mellow and relaxed that
Even when our life is in danger
We don’t put up a fight
We don’t kick or gore
Don’t growl or snarl
Our personality is the reason
Why our flesh is so tender.

When they take us to slaughter
We’re calm and submissive
Under the gaze of the flock
Follow our executioner
Who’s holding a knife in his hand
We just hate violence
Our enemies admire this trait.

When a vicious wolf attacks our herd
And tears apart our child in plain sight
While from the crushed body
Of our love one between his fangs
Blood is dripping down
We don’t react
Because we avoid conflict
Wolves know this truth
And respect our values.

Our softness is so deep-rooted that
When one of us roars to fight
Clashes with enemy
Who came to shed his blood
We watch with apathy and
Thinking this madness is not from us
Wondering what kind of animal he is.
Then we do what we’ve always done
Bah, bah, bah, bah
